This Refund Policy explains when you can get a refund for digital themes and templates bought from Coodes, when a refund is not available, how to ask for one, and how refunds for custom development services work. We want you to be satisfied with every purchase. If something is wrong, contact us first and we will try to fix it. Effective date and last updated: September 18, 2026.

1. Overview and Scope

Coodes ("Coodes", "we", "us" or "our") sells premium downloadable digital products through coodes.org, including Next.js website themes, Solidity smart contract templates and Flutter mobile app templates (each an "Item"), under Regular and Extended licenses. We also provide custom development services such as custom theme development, Web3 and smart contract integration, Flutter mobile app development, theme customization and installation, and performance, SEO and maintenance work.

This policy applies to all purchases made through the Site and to custom services engagements, unless a signed written agreement for a specific project says otherwise. It forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read with our License Terms. Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory rights you have under the consumer protection laws that apply to you.

2. The Nature of Digital Products

Items are digital goods delivered instantly by download. Once an Item has been downloaded, it cannot be "returned" in the way a physical product can: the files remain on your device, and we have no way to confirm that they have been deleted or not used. For this reason, refunds for Items are not automatic and are assessed case by case according to the criteria below.

To help you make an informed decision before buying, we provide live previews, feature lists, technical requirements, version information and documentation for each Item. We strongly encourage you to review these carefully, test the live preview on the devices and browsers that matter to you, and ask us any pre-sale questions before purchasing. Our FAQs and pricing page also explain the differences between license types.

3. When You Are Eligible for a Refund

You may be eligible for a full or partial refund of an Item purchase in the following situations, provided you submit your request within the refund window described in section 5:

3.1 Item not as described

The Item is materially different from its description, live preview or feature list on the Site, for example a core advertised feature, page, screen or contract function is missing from the download. Minor visual differences, demo content or images that are stated to be excluded from the download, or changes in third-party services, do not make an Item "not as described".

3.2 Item does not work and cannot be fixed within a reasonable time

The Item has a defect that prevents it from working as described in a supported environment (meeting the requirements stated in its documentation), you have reported the defect to us with enough detail to reproduce it, and we are unable to fix it or provide a reasonable workaround within a reasonable time, normally fourteen (14) days from your report.

3.3 Duplicate purchase

You accidentally purchased the same Item with the same license type more than once for the same end product. We will refund the duplicate purchase. Buying multiple licenses intentionally for multiple end products is not a duplicate purchase.

3.4 Unresolved security vulnerability

A security vulnerability exists in the Item's own code (not in your modifications, your hosting environment or a third-party dependency outside our control) that materially compromises its safe use, you have reported it to us, and we fail to release a fix, patch or documented mitigation within a reasonable time after confirming it.

3.5 Other cases required by law

Any other situation in which a refund is required under the consumer protection law applicable to you.

4. When a Refund Is Not Available

Except where required by applicable law, we do not provide refunds in the following situations:

  • You changed your mind, no longer need the Item, or found another product you prefer after downloading.
  • You purchased the wrong license type (for example, a Regular license when you needed an Extended license); in this case, contact us, as we may be able to help you upgrade by paying the difference.
  • The Item does not meet expectations that were not reflected in its description, or you expected features that are not advertised.
  • You lack the technical skills required to use or customize the Item, such as knowledge of Next.js, Solidity, Flutter, hosting, or blockchain deployment.
  • The issue results from your own modifications, third-party plugins or packages you added, an unsupported environment or incompatible hosting.
  • The problem is caused by third-party services, APIs, blockchain networks, wallets, RPC providers or open-source components outside our control, provided the Item works as described otherwise.
  • Gas fees, network fees, or losses resulting from deploying or interacting with a smart contract.
  • You did not give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue through support before requesting a refund.
  • The request is made after the refund window has closed.
  • Support extensions after the support period they cover has started, except on a pro rata basis where required by law.
  • Your license has been terminated for breach of the License Terms or Terms of Service.
  • Items purchased at a discount or as part of a promotion are subject to this policy in the same way as other Items, but refunds are limited to the amount actually paid.

5. Refund Request Window

Refund requests for Items must be submitted within fourteen (14) days of the purchase date. For requests based on a defect or security vulnerability (sections 3.2 and 3.4), the defect must have been reported to us within this 14-day window; the refund itself may be granted after the window closes if we are ultimately unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable time.

Note: Most problems can be solved quickly by our support team. Contacting support early, with your order reference and a clear description of the issue, is the fastest way to a solution, whether that is a fix, a workaround or a refund.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Gather your purchase details: your order reference or invoice number, the email address used for the purchase, the Item name and the license type.
  2. Describe the issue: explain clearly which eligibility case in section 3 applies and what is wrong. For technical problems, include steps to reproduce, screenshots, console or build logs, framework and tool versions (such as Node.js, Next.js, Flutter or Solidity compiler versions), and the environment or network you used.
  3. Send your request: email [email protected] with the subject line "Refund request" and your order reference, or submit the details through our contact page.
  4. Cooperate with troubleshooting: we may ask for additional information or temporary access to a test environment to reproduce and fix the issue. We will not ask for your private keys or seed phrases.
  5. Receive our decision: we will acknowledge your request, typically within two (2) business days, and aim to give you a decision within seven (7) business days after receiving all necessary information.
  6. Confirm deletion: if a refund is approved, your license for the Item is revoked, and you agree to stop using the Item and delete all copies, including any end product built from it that has not been separately licensed.

7. Processing Times and Refund Methods

Approved refunds are processed within ten (10) business days of approval. The time it takes for funds to appear in your account depends on your payment method and provider, and may take additional days.

Original payment methodRefund methodTypical time after processing
Credit or debit cardRefund to the same card via the payment processor5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank
Other methods offered by a third-party payment processorRefund to the original method where supported by the processorAccording to the processor's timelines
Cryptocurrency via a third-party gatewayStablecoin equivalent of the original fiat value, sent to a wallet address you confirmUsually within 3 business days of confirmation of the receiving address

7.1 Cryptocurrency refunds

Because cryptocurrency prices fluctuate, crypto refunds are calculated on the original fiat value of your purchase (the price shown at checkout in the fiat currency), not on the amount of cryptocurrency you sent. We will refund that value in a widely used stablecoin equivalent, on a network we support, to a wallet address you provide and confirm in writing. This means that the amount of cryptocurrency you receive may differ from the amount you originally paid. You are responsible for providing a correct address that is compatible with the chosen network; blockchain transfers are irreversible, and we cannot recover funds sent to an incorrect address you provided. Network fees for the refund transfer are covered by Coodes unless the refund is partial, in which case they may be deducted as stated in our decision.

7.2 Fees and partial refunds

We refund the amount you paid for the Item, including taxes where these can be recovered. Where a refund relates only to part of a purchase, such as a support extension or one license among several, we will refund the proportionate amount. We do not charge a fee for processing refunds, but currency conversion differences applied by your bank or payment provider are outside our control.

8. Refunds for Custom Development Services

Custom services are delivered in milestones set out in a written quote or proposal, as described in our Terms of Service and on our services page. Because services involve dedicated time and resources, refunds work by milestone:

  • Before work starts: if you cancel after paying a deposit but before we have started any work, including discovery or planning, we will refund the deposit in full, less any non-recoverable third-party costs incurred on your behalf with your approval.
  • Milestones in progress: if you cancel during a milestone, you will pay for the work performed up to the cancellation date on a pro rata basis, calculated according to the quote. Any amount paid in excess of that will be refunded.
  • Accepted milestones: fees for milestones that have been accepted, or deemed accepted under the Terms of Service, are non-refundable.
  • Non-conforming deliverables: if a delivered milestone materially fails to meet the agreed specification and we are unable to correct it within a reasonable time after your written notice, you may be entitled to a full or partial refund of the fees for that milestone.
  • Termination by Coodes: if we terminate an engagement for reasons other than your breach, we will refund fees paid for work not yet performed.
  • Third-party costs: costs for third-party services purchased on your behalf, such as hosting, domains, paid APIs, audits or blockchain gas fees, are not refundable by Coodes.

Intellectual property in deliverables transfers to you only upon full payment, as set out in the Terms of Service. If a project is cancelled and refunded, rights in unpaid work remain with Coodes.

9. EU and UK Consumer Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have a right to withdraw from a distance contract within fourteen (14) days without giving a reason. However, under EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights and equivalent UK rules, this right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content not supplied on a tangible medium once supply has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.

At checkout, before you can download an Item, we ask you to expressly consent to immediate delivery of the digital content and to acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the download becomes available. If you give this consent, the statutory right of withdrawal no longer applies once supply has begun. This does not affect your rights if the Item is faulty or not as described, and it does not affect the voluntary refund cases set out in section 3 of this policy.

For custom services, if you are a consumer and request that we start work within the withdrawal period, you may still withdraw within 14 days of the contract, but you will have to pay a proportionate amount for the services provided up to the time you inform us of your withdrawal. Once services have been fully performed with your express request and acknowledgement, the right of withdrawal is lost.

Note: To exercise a right of withdrawal where it applies, send a clear statement of your decision to [email protected] before the withdrawal period expires, including your name, order reference and the date of purchase.

10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you have an issue with a purchase, please contact us before disputing the payment with your bank or card issuer. Most problems can be resolved faster and more easily directly with us. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us may delay resolution.

If a chargeback is filed, we will provide the payment processor with relevant information, such as proof of purchase, download records and correspondence, to respond to the dispute. While a chargeback is pending, we may suspend the related license, downloads and support. If a chargeback is decided in your favor, the license for the Item is revoked and you must stop using the Item. If a chargeback is found to be unjustified or fraudulent, we reserve the right to recover the amount and any associated fees and to refuse future orders. Cryptocurrency payments generally cannot be reversed through chargebacks and are handled solely under this policy.

11. Refund Abuse

We handle refund requests in good faith and expect the same from our customers. We may refuse refunds where we reasonably believe that the refund process is being abused, for example by repeatedly purchasing and requesting refunds for Items after downloading them, by requesting a refund while continuing to use the Item in a live end product, or by providing false information. We may also refuse further purchases from accounts engaged in such conduct.

12. Changes to This Policy and Contact

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase or engagement applies to that purchase or engagement, unless applicable law requires otherwise. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when this policy was last revised.
